The Club, founded in 1963, in the early days of the preservation movement, attracts a membership not only from proud owners of traction engines and road rollers, but also from experts of the Vintage Fairground, and generally from all those who are attracted to these things and would like to learn more.
During the winter months, the Club has a monthly programme of Social Evenings, with interesting talks by knowledgeable speakers. In the summer season, we organise a number of vintage gatherings spread throughout Yorkshire and beyond, and in previous years, we have organised visits to varied attractions of steam interest. We also aim to provide a Driving Day Experience for members.
The Club has an extensive archive of steam related books in the library that members can borrow,
along with an historic collection of photographs with prints that are available for purchase.
